About Me
Han Murphy (they/them) is a passionate and imaginative Chicagoland based theatrical designer and technician. They have received their Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre and Theatrical Design and Technology from North Central College. They dedicate themselves to create bold and detailed designs for musicals and fantastical productions to help entrance the audience in the magic of the show, as well as simple down to earth designs to capture real life works and bring the audience to the real world of small-town or historic plays. They pride themselves in being a strong, professional collaborator, while keeping in touch with their whimsical imagination that inspired their career path. They hope to capture a small bit of the magic of theatre in each of their works.

Their love of theatre started from a young wide-eyed child staring at the lights and costumes on school trips to local performances, and has only grown as they design shows they love and learn more about all aspects of the theatrical world. Their recent design works include: Heathers with Point 2 Productions, as well as Witch, Tiny Beautiful Things, The Daily Grind, Love and Information, and Into the Woods at North Central College
.
They are currently back in school working on an Associates in Science in the Electrical/Electronic Automated Systems program at Joliet Junior College, taking their love of wiring and fascination of electricity and building their skillset as they work to become an electrician.
